Cover Supervisor Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to provide general cover in a partner school in the Pembroke area. The successful candidate will support the teaching staff when there are illnesses or absences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering lessons where the work has been set by the teacher.
  • Ensuring positive behaviour management in accordance with school policies.
  • Supporting pupils who are having difficulty in completing the work that has been set.
  • Developing strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues to create a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, including before and after school and at lunchtime.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience either working as a Cover Supervisor or delivering lessons in secondary schools as an Unqualified Teacher is preferred, however, we would welcome applicants from anybody with transferrable experience or skills, or those who have supported young people in a similar capacity.
