Company Overview:

Thorn Baker has teamed up with a leading specialist property developer to undertake complex and challenging property conversions and new build developments. They are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £75,000 to £80,000 per annum, plus a car allowance. The role also offers hybrid working, contributory pension, and continual investment in professional development.

Job Description:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Thorn Baker Construction, you will be responsible for ensuring weekly and monthly payments are processed efficiently, resolving any disputes, and providing an accurate picture of site financial status. You will also produce site valuations and present them to the Board of Directors, liaise with other departments to ensure sites run efficiently, and comply with health, safety, and environment policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management;
  • At least 3 years' relevant experience within the last 8 years, including High Rise project experience;
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Experience with using COINS is desired;
  • A full UK driving license is required.
