About the Role

The Community Paediatric team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist paediatric services for children in Cumbria. As a Community Paediatrician, you will work closely with colleagues in the Trust and other agencies to provide a comprehensive service to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage children with developmental difficulties and disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Provide health assessments for children looked after, children being adopted, and children being assessed for an Education, Health and Care Plan.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and agencies to provide a seamless service to children and families.
  • Develop and implement service development projects to improve the quality of care for children in Cumbria.

Person Specification
  • MB or equivalent qualification.
  • MRCCH or equivalent qualification.
  • Full registration with the GMC.
  • Experience of paediatrics and community paediatrics.
  • Special interest in community child health.
