Job Title: Head of Compliance Policy and Oversight Risk, Audit, and Compliance London

Checkout.com is a leading fintech company that enables businesses to thrive in the digital economy. We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Compliance Policy and Oversight to join our dynamic team.

This role involves developing, implementing, and managing compliance policies and ensuring effective oversight across our global operations. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure that our compliance policies are robust, current, and effectively integrated into our business practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Policy Development and Implementation:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance policies that adhere to local, national, and international regulations.
  • Ensure policies are aligned with Checkout.com's business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and disseminate compliance policies across the organization.
Oversight and Monitoring:
  • Establish and manage processes to monitor compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure adherence to compliance policies.
  • Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Training and Education:
  • Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance policies and their responsibilities.
  • Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization.
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and present reports on compliance policy effectiveness and oversight activities to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of compliance policies, procedures, and oversight activities.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in compliance policy development and oversight, preferably within the payments or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and compliance best practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance policies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
