We are seeking an experienced Land Buyer to join our team at Vistry Northern Home Counties, based in Milton Keynes. This role offers a competitive basic salary and annual bonus, as well as a range of benefits including a company car, agile working arrangements, and private healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and acquire viable land development opportunities for delivery in the short to medium term
- Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, land agents, landowners, and other developers
- Prepare accurate viability studies and support the Senior Land Manager or Land Director with acquisition strategies
- Collate and analyze data to undertake a detailed assessment of a site's potential for development
- Work with the Planning Manager to obtain planning consents and manage S106 obligations and CIL payments
- Strong understanding of the residential market and national and local planning policies
- Ability to identify and acquire land development opportunities with strong margin and advantageous deal structure and cashflows
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Technical ability and good understanding of the planning process
