About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our team at Prospero Health & Social Care - Chelmsford. As a Family Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing guidance, support, and advocacy to young adults and children in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish positive relationships with teenagers and their families
  • Conduct key work sessions to support young people with their emotional, social, and behavioral needs
  • Offer guidance and skill-building activities to enhance interpersonal skills and self-esteem
  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure comprehensive care plans
  • Document and maintain accurate records of interactions and progress
Requirements
  • At least one year's experience working with young adults and children in a residential setting
  • Strong understanding of adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based interactions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and resilience in managing challenging situations
  • Enhanced DBS registration or willingness to process
  • Three years' professional references
