Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School Creative Graduates Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable Primary School in Southwark. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and SEMH needs, while also contributing to the delivery of lessons in core subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students across EYFS, KS1 & KS2 (EYFS / Reception - Year 6) in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers to deliver lessons in core subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of students with SEND and SEMH
  • Utilize creativity to make learning engaging and accessible to all students, incorporating various subjects such as dance, music, art, and sport
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Plans to support students with SEND and SEMH needs

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories, with a commitment to inclusive education practices
