This pivotal role as a Senior Management Accountant presents an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in group accounting and drive financial excellence across the organisation. Job Description

The Senior Management Accountant will be accountable for:

  • Leading the group consolidation process and preparing consolidated financial statements
  • Coordinating external audits and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Developing and maintaining robust financial controls and processes across the group
  • Providing expert tax advice and overseeing tax planning initiatives
  • Producing insightful financial analysis and reports for senior management
  • Collaborating with various departments to drive process improvements and efficiencies
  • Supporting M&A activities with financial due diligence and integration planning

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience
  • Strong background in group accounting within a complex, multi-entity structure
  • In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations
  • Previous experience in external audit, preferably within the FMCG sector
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial reporting systems
  • Able to commute to Luton a couple of days a week
