We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our Children's Intensive Support Team for Coventry and Warwickshire. The successful candidate will work in a specialist, multi-disciplinary team that provides additional specialist assessment and therapeutic support for children and young people with autism/learning disability and mental health needs.

Job Description

">

The successful applicant will be required to provide specialist assessments and psychological interventions, team formulation, consultation, training, service evaluation and supervision of other qualified staff. They will work directly with service users and their families or carers, requiring experience of working with young people who have mental health needs and autism, and Learning Disability.

Other responsibilities include providing consultation within the MDT and externally, joint working with other agencies, participation and involvement in service development, research and business meetings and providing supervision (where appropriate) to other psychology staff or team members providing psychologically informed interventions.

The role is that of a community-based practitioner, and applicants will be required to travel across the Trust. A car owner/driver or suitable alternative transport arrangements will be essential to enable them to undertake the job.

Salary

">

The salary for this position is approximately £52,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Required Skills and Qualifications

  • ">
  • Good honours degree in Psychology">
  • Eligibility for Graduate Membership of the BPS PhD or DClinPsych or equivalent in Clinical Psychology (Clinical/Counselling)">
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment with children and young people with Autism/learning disabilities and mental health needs">
