The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is a leading healthcare provider, and we are seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our team in the Maternity Department.

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled administrator to provide front-line reception services and administrative support to all areas of the maternity service. The successful candidate will work dynamically across all areas of the service, attending the main hospital building as required.

About the Role

This role requires a proactive individual who can collect, investigate, verify, and record high-quality patient demographic and treatment data accurately and in a timely manner. The post-holder must also enter information on the computerised patient information system to ensure that the trust receives the appropriate level of income for patient activity and avoids clinical risks inherent with inaccurate patient records.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and be able to manage and resolve difficult situations effectively. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, combined with the ability to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure, are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the maternity department, including reception services and administrative tasks.
  • Collect, investigate, verify, and record high-quality patient demographic and treatment data.
  • Enter information on the computerised patient information system.
  • Manage and resolve difficult situations effectively.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working in a public/patient-facing role.
  • Previous work experience in a team.
  • Previous work experience in a receptionist or similar role.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including flexible working hours and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
