Job Description

As a Software Tester at SSINGECO LTD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify, document, and report bugs and issues. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will help us deliver flawless software that meets our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assist in creating and reviewing test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Execute test cases manually or using automated testing tools, such as Selenium, to verify that the software meets specified requirements and functions correctly.
  • Identify and report defects or issues found during testing using a bug tracking system.
  • Provide clear and detailed descriptions of the defects, including steps to reproduce, expected behavior, and actual behavior observed.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes or updates do not negatively impact existing functionality.
  • Document and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.
  • Collaborate with other members of the development team, including developers, solution architects, and business analysts, to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Ensure that the software development process adheres to quality standards and best practices.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, such as code reviews, inspections, and process improvements, to identify areas for enhancement and optimization.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, testing methodologies, and tools to improve testing skills and knowledge.
  • Seek opportunities for training, certification, and professional development to enhance proficiency in software testing techniques.
  • Provide support to end-users and stakeholders by addressing questions, concerns, and issues related to software functionality and quality.
  • Collaborate with customer support teams to troubleshoot problems and provide timely resolution to user inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Software Tester or similar role.
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools, such as JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Java or Python, is a plus.
