About the Position

Lloyd's Register is looking for a Marine Machinery Appraiser to appraise and assess plans related to machinery components, pressure equipment, and piping systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant international standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct plan approval of machinery components, pressure equipment, and piping systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with revisions to Statutory, Rule, and Flag requirements.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Engage in technical discussions and provide expert advice to both internal and external clients.
  • Presentation and discussion of deliverables with internal and external clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered/Professional qualification and active membership in a relevant professional institution.
  • Extensive experience in offshore or marine machinery and engineering system design or appraisal.
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance systems and material properties is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage in technical discussions with clients.
