Advanced Practice Dietitian Gastroenterology Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and innovative dietitian to join our team in Gastroenterology. The successful candidate will work as part of a motivated team to support patients and clinical staff in gastroenterology, providing a high-quality service. The role will involve working with consultant paediatric gastroenterologists, nurse consultants, clinical nurse specialists, and a team of GI dietitians to deliver a seamless service.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a dietetic service for patients with gastroenterology conditions, including coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, short gut syndrome, and liver disease.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive service, including dietetic-led coeliac services and inflammatory bowel disease management.
- Contribute to the development of guidelines and protocols for the management of gastroenterology conditions.
- Provide education and training to healthcare staff on gastroenterology-related topics.
- Participate in research and service evaluation projects to improve the quality of care for patients with gastroenterology conditions.
- BSc in Dietetics or equivalent.
- HCPC registration.
- Postgraduate training in Paediatric Dietetics to masters level or equivalent.
- Substantial clinical experience and postgraduate training.

Please note that this is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period to accommodate the new reduced working week.
