Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Multi Instruments Inc. as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - FMCG Industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend and diagnose breakdown repairs in a cost-effective and timely manner to ensure production targets are met.
  • Record all work details using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), with entries onto the system to be of a sufficient standard for the purpose of reference and traceability.
  • Carry out repairs to the plant and infrastructure using all procedural controls and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures.
  • Support colleagues in ensuring that they adopt the correct operating procedures.
  • Ensure Health and Safety is not compromised in any way and all procedures are followed to ensure you are not putting yourself or others at risk.
  • Contribute to the development of new working methods and actively participate in continuous improvement.
  • Provide logical reasoning and logical approaches to engineering and operational issues and identify potential Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
Requirements
  • Industry-relevant qualifications or be an apprentice-trained multiskilled engineer, with a strong electrical bias.
  • Experience of working in a Food Manufacturing / FMCG environment would be beneficial.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills, working knowledge of AC/DC motors and controls, a good understanding of servo-controlled equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Competent in workshop skills including simple fabrication, plant refurbishment, and the use of machine tools.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a pressured and time-critical environment.
Working Environment

The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, supporting the production team to meet their Key Performance Indicators (KPI) targets.
