Senior Cost Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our rapidly expanding team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will work with both public and private sector clients on a variety of projects, including regeneration, residential, sport and leisure, industrial, and commercial developer schemes.
Responsibilities
- Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
- Engage with customers and develop, grow, and maintain customer relationships.
- Deliver high-quality services and ensure that cost management deliverables meet customer requirements.
- Manage projects to deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures.
- Prepare and present order of cost estimates and option studies.
- Cost planning.
- Cost-in-use studies.
- Advise on and implement procurement strategies.
- Prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.
- Evaluate and report on tenders.
- Value completed work and arrange for payments.
- Settle final accounts.
- Provide technical advice on legal and contractual issues relating to construction projects.
- Administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
- Produce and present reports to customers.
- Mentor and coach employees to their full potential.
- Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across business unit activities.
- Prepare bids for services.
- Manage service delivery for profit.
- Advise directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds' professional indemnity (PI) insurance.
