We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QHSE Manager to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, clients, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- QHSE Governance: Develop and implement effective QHSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the organization, including those related to health, safety, and environmental concerns.
- Compliance and Auditing: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with QHSE standards and regulations, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of QHSE issues and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including employees, clients, and external partners, to ensure QHSE objectives are met.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of QHSE activities, including incident reports, audits, and training records.
- Education: A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English and basic Mathematics skills.
- Qualifications: Graduate membership of IOSH, or Tech member working towards Graduate membership.
- Experience: Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 Management Systems, with practical application of auditing.
- Skills: Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to produce statistical data in Excel format utilizing charts, graphs, and Pivot Tables.
- Formal Qualifications: Formal qualifications in auditing and quality management, and formal qualification in environmental management and associate membership of IEMA or equivalent.
- Experience: Experience of using Power BI, appreciation of working within a multiple-site environment, and an engineering background or interest in engineering.
- Communication and Teamwork: Good verbal communication and written English skills, ability to work with other team members or on own initiative as required.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to make decisions when needed based on evidence available.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to be flexible in working pattern and travel anywhere in the UK and Ireland as required, with overnight stays, across a combination of multi-tenanted environments.
