Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at CS Group. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in climate-related sciences and project/programme management.

The ideal candidate will have experience in data infrastructure management, coding languages such as Python, C, or Fortran, and proficiency in English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the coordination, planning, development, and implementation of the CMIP data infrastructure.
  • Provide communication support for CMIP data infrastructure activities and engage with relevant communities.
  • Promote equity and inclusivity in CMIP data access.
  • Organize and facilitate infrastructure-related meetings, workshops, conferences, training sessions, and other activities relevant to CMIP.
  • Reach out to relevant wider communities such as PANGEO, Copernicus, and other emerging communities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in climate-related sciences or another appropriate scientific field.
  • At least three years of relevant work experience.
  • Signedificant expertise in project/programme management of large scientific and/or data infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience of research/science facilitation.
  • Experience of coding languages including Python, C or Fortran.
  • Proficiency in English.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum
