Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has been created for an experienced GP Clinical Lead to join Heartbeat Primary Care CIC at Harewood Medical Practice in Catterick Garrison. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering and leading on the range of services required to meet patients' needs.

The practice is run by a Community Interest Company, supporting 16 GP practices across Hambleton and Richmondshire. A new integrated care campus is currently being built to meet the projected population growth and form the blueprint for similar facilities in communities with combined defence and civilian populations.

The post holder will be responsible for leading clinical decision-making, risk management, and quality improvement. They will also support staff development, oversee governance, and prepare for CQC inspections.

About the Role

  • Lead clinical decision-making, risk management, and quality improvement
  • Support staff development, oversee governance, and prepare for CQC inspections
  • Work in close partnership with the Business Operations Manager and Deputy Clinical Lead to lead performance and delivery
  • Maintain effective relationships with external healthcare providers, local authorities, and other stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain and improve clinical standards
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant governance frameworks and policies, including CQC
  • Identify and manage clinical risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues
  • Write and review necessary clinical policies
  • Oversee clinical input into complaints/learning/significant events processes

Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience
