Barker Ross is supporting a client who is recruiting for a Site Engineer to work at their site in Rugby, Warwickshire. The role is responsible for ensuring the implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks and improvements across the ambient site. You will provide solutions to reduce costs and improve plant efficiencies. This role has a 70% mechanical 30% electrical bias split. The successful candidate will be responsible for ownership of specific jobs/projects through to successful completion. Key responsibilities include fostering an open and collaborative culture, listening and encouraging new ideas from others, and knowledge of company procedures and actively demonstrating compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience of maintenance for machinery and processes, preferably in a food or packing environment. They will also have the ability to communicate in a positive and clear manner, positively lead a team of people, and forward plan and deliver. The role requires the ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to strict deadlines, and a commitment to respond to changing customer needs. The successful candidate will be able to work towards targets, recognise and promote the importance of continuous improvement, and display a positive attitude to change. They will also be able to develop best practice and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of performance. The role is customer-led, with changing priorities, and the successful candidate will be able to adapt to these changes. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities. The role is based in Rugby, Warwickshire, and the successful candidate will be required to work shifts, including 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00, Monday to Friday.
