We are looking for a highly proficient Geospatial Visualization Engineer to enhance our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with the development and maintenance of geospatial authoring tools and web applications utilizing CesiumJS, with a focus on crafting interactive and dynamic 3D visualizations and maps. This position demands extensive experience with geospatial data, web technologies, 3D rendering, as well as familiarity with QGIS and Google Maps API.
Key Responsibilities:
Geospatial Development
Design, develop, and maintain geospatial applications using JavaScript and CesiumJS. Create authoring tools (QGIS, Adobe Illustrator) and web applications for interactive and dynamic 3D visualizations to meet various business requirements.Data Integration and Management
Integrate diverse geospatial data sources, including vector, raster, and point cloud data, into CesiumJS applications. Ensure precise and efficient data handling and processing.Performance Optimization
Enhance the performance of geospatial applications for seamless and responsive user experiences. Conduct regular performance assessments and debugging to identify and resolve bottlenecks.Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate closely with fellow developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality geospatial solutions. Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.Documentation
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for geospatial applications, data integration processes, and APIs. Ensure documentation is accessible and current.Research and Innovation
Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies related to geospatial development and 3D visualization. Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance geospatial applications.Experience
Proven experience as a Geospatial Developer or in a similar capacity, with a robust portfolio of geospatial applications. Extensive experience with CesiumJS and 3D visualization. Demonstrated expertise in managing and processing geospatial data. Experience in developing QGIS plugins using Python and familiarity with QGIS or similar GIS software.Technical Skills
Proficiency in CesiumJS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Strong understanding of WebGL and 3D rendering techniques. Familiarity with geospatial data formats and standards (e.g., GeoJSON, KML, Shapefiles). Experience with Google Maps API. Knowledge of GIS software and tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS).Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong English communication and collaboration skills. Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.Education
Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Geospatial Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Preferred Qualifications
