The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Majestic Assistant Manager. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in driving sales performance and day-to-day operations. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer experiences, optimising KPI performance, and maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Store Manager in driving sales performance and day-to-day operations.
  • Take responsibility for the store and team in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and optimising KPI performance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
  • Offer a VIP concierge service to customers, actively contacting them with updates on products and tastings.
  • Sell the story behind our products, demonstrating and sharing your passion for wine with customers.
  • Support the recruitment, management, and development of the team.
  • Develop and maintain your product knowledge, passing your WSET qualifications and continuously improving your skills.
  • Take accountability for the physical appearance and maintenance of the store, ensuring swift reporting and escalation of any issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the operational running of the store.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, processes, and mandatory training.
  • Support the cascade of store, regional, and business updates and communications.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences and service.
  • Understanding of retail KPIs and ability to drive improvements.
  • Prioritisation and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments.
  • Self-motivation and ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • WSET 2 qualification is essential, with a willingness to work towards WSET 3 qualification.
  • Full UK/EU/EEA driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
