Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Education Specialist to lead our Performing Arts department as a Teacher of Performing Arts & Head of Year. This role is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to shape the artistic talents of our students while guiding them through their academic journey.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a highly motivated individual with exceptional leadership skills. As a Teacher of Performing Arts, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons and fostering a love for the arts among our students. Additionally, as the Head of Year, you will provide guidance and support to our students, ensuring they achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement innovative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • To lead by example, demonstrating a passion for the performing arts and inspiring our students to reach their full potential
  • To collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive school environment
  • To provide pastoral care and guidance to students, promoting their emotional well-being and academic success
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and initiatives

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g., performing arts, education, drama)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications
  • Proven experience in teaching and leading within a similar context
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to ongoing professional development
