About Our Role:

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Civil Engineering Quantification Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our pre-contracts team, you will be responsible for dealing with the preparation, processing and submission of tenders for contracts by calculating the costs involved in supplying a product or service that meets the client's technical specification.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, process and submit tenders for contracts
  • Calculate costs involved in supplying a product or service
  • Gain an understanding of client's technical specification
  • Collect quotes from suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Plan job timescales
  • Assess and advise on commercial risk
  • Prepare and submit quotations for work

Requirements:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Good commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
  • Sound knowledge of spreadsheets and other estimating packages
  • A strong background in estimating in civil engineering
