The Audit and Assurance team has a strong track record of delivering high-quality audits and comprehensive value-added advice to clients in various industry sectors.

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our expanding audit team. This role represents an excellent opportunity for career growth and will suit ambitious individuals who are willing to take on new challenges.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large and varied portfolio of clients.
  • Promote and oversee quality audit work on client engagements.
  • Build and manage client relationships.
  • Supervise and train junior team members to ensure that Grant Thornton standards are maintained throughout the audit process.
  • Prepare and present business tenders to develop and grow your client portfolio.
  • Manage work in progress and billings.
  • Negotiate client fees.
  • Take full responsibility for managing and reviewing the work of the audit team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience.
  • Strong technical skills, including Irish GAAP and auditing standards. IFRS experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Electronic auditing experience and ability to motivate staff under tight deadlines.
  • Able to make professional judgments based on findings.
  • Portfolio management experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical assessment.
  • Experience working as part of a team supporting others.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Experience gained in a Big 4 accounting firm is advantageous.

Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £100,000 per annum
