We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at South West London & St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide medical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children and adolescents with mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Medical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services.
- Urgent Assessments: Be available for urgent assessments, including mental health act assessments, within normal working hours.
- Treatment and Medication: Provide treatment with medication and mental state monitoring for patients.
- Collaboration with Other Services: Liaise with paediatrics and community paediatrics, as well as the London Borough of Richmond children's social care and education departments.
- Training and Supervision: Chair the CAMHS higher trainees Seminar, provide training on Neurodevelopmental Disorders, and offer clinical supervision to team members.
- Service Development: Contribute to the strategic development of the team and broader services, working closely with the team manager and locality manager.
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- CCT or equivalent in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Desirable qualifications: Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
