Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced finance coordinator to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for supporting the capital accountancy function and ensuring that accounting standards and NHS England requirements are met.

About the Role: The successful candidate will have experience in financial monitoring and challenge of capital and revenue expenditure, budgets and forecasts. They will also be proficient in the use of computerised and manual financial systems, including spreadsheets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the capital accountant in the planning, monitoring, reporting and forecasting of the trust's capital programme.
  • Financial input into capital business cases in liaison with relevant General/Service Managers.
  • Completion of the fixed asset note to the trust annual accounts including the completion of capital expenditure figures and commitments for the charitable fund accounts.
  • Accurate reporting of lease assets and liabilities in accordance with IFRS16.
