Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our Reception pupils, helping them to thrive in their early years of education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children during the transition period to ensure a smooth start to their Primary School experience.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, including Phonics sessions and interventions.
- Assist with classroom activities and lesson preparations, promoting a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
- Support all students, including those with additional needs, to promote inclusion and a positive school culture.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
- Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
- Relevant experience working with children, within a school setting.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding practices.
