Electronics Engineer Job Opportunity

Are you a student in an MEng course in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related discipline? Do you have a passion for electronics design and development? We invite you to apply for a challenging and rewarding electronics engineer position at Leonardo.

As an electronics engineer in our team, you will have the opportunity to work on real-time projects alongside leading scientists and engineers, developing your skills and expertise in electronics design, implementation, and testing. You will be given the opportunity to work on individual projects in support of your academic course of study, in an area of electronics design relevant to radar or electro-optic products.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in electronics design and development, working on real-life engineering problems on state-of-the-art avionics sensor systems. You will have the chance to learn from experienced engineers and develop your skills in areas such as requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, applied research, and test.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, document, build, and test electronics circuits and firmware designs to go into our various systems.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers on many factors within the design and liaise closely with engineers from several other disciplines.
  • Deliver plans and reports to the required academic standard of your university.

Requirements

We are looking for students currently in the final or penultimate year of a degree in Electronic Engineering (MEng) who have a strong understanding of electronics design and development. You should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of digital design, analogue design, and signal processing with experience of using PCB design and simulation tools. You will also need to be eligible for UK security clearance.
