Job Title: Head of Sustainability

TM Green Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Sustainability to lead our company's sustainability efforts. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving our sustainability agenda, ensuring that all projects meet environmental standards and align with our broader sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company's sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging regulations.
  • Advise on sustainable construction practices, materials, and technologies, ensuring that all projects are designed and delivered with minimal environmental impact.
  • Work closely with the pre-construction and project teams to integrate sustainability goals into project planning, tendering, and delivery.
  • Lead on achieving and maintaining sustainability accreditations such as BREEAM, LEED, or other relevant certifications for high-value projects.
  • Monitor and report on sustainability performance, ensuring key metrics are tracked and communicated to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to promote sustainable solutions, tailoring our approach to meet project-specific environmental goals.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams, ensuring sustainability is embedded into the company culture at all levels.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, legislation, and advancements in sustainable construction, and ensure the company remains at the forefront of these developments.
  • Contribute to marketing and business development activities by highlighting the company's commitment to sustainability, helping to secure higher-value projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a sustainability-focused role within the construction industry, ideally at a managerial or senior level.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable construction practices, regulations, and certifications such as BREEAM, LEED, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working on complex, high-value construction projects, with a track record of delivering sustainability targets.
  • A passion for environmental stewardship and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, from design through to project delivery.
  • A relevant qualification in sustainability, environmental science, or a related field is highly desirable.
