Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems for various projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with engineering staff to produce electrical system designs for precision positioning controls, machinery controls, safety circuits, and LV/ELV systems.
  • Developing and applying expertise in technologies such as programmable logic controllers, motion controls, distributed I/O, and instrumentation.
  • Using electrical CAD software like Trimble (Amtech), PAScal, and SEE Electrical to create schematics, hook-ups, and other electrical design documentation.
  • Contributing to hazard analysis and risk assessment exercises, design reviews, system verification, and validation.
  • Maintaining and updating engineering drawings and documentation on projects.
  • Designing in line with relevant British, European, International, and company standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A good working knowledge of CAD systems.
  • The ability to partner with wider disciplines across the business.
