Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled pharmacist to lead the clinical pharmacy services in the Surgical Emergency Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in a surgical setting and be able to balance day-to-day operations with building and future-proofing the service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support and deputise for the Divisional Lead Pharmacist in providing a safe, effective, and efficient clinical pharmacy service.
  • Provide a clinical pharmacy service to the Surgical Emergency Unit.
  • Lead and manage the provision of all ward-based clinical pharmacy services to the Surgical Emergency Unit.
  • Develop and establish key clinical pharmacy skills for managing patients in the Surgical Emergency Unit.
  • Contribute to and implement clinical governance plans of the Surgical Emergency Unit and pharmacy clinical governance plans.
  • Ensure a patient-focused approach to medicines management within the unit.
Requirements
  • Qualified to master's degree level (MPharm or equivalent)
  • Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent
  • Independent prescriber or working towards this
  • Leadership qualification or training, or working towards this

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of clinical pharmacy principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
