Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Year 6 teacher to join our team. This full-time role is based in Telford, with a January start date.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to Year 6 students, focusing on their academic growth and personal development.
  • Collaborate with the Year 6 teaching team to plan engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records in line with school policies.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that supports the development of each child, promoting social-emotional learning and well-being.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to establish a supportive learning community that values mutual respect and open communication.
  • Uphold the school's values, maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment that encourages active participation and creativity.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in meetings, events, and professional development activities that enhance teaching practices and promote staff collaboration.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  2. Experience teaching in Year 6 / Key Stage 2.
  3. A solid understanding of the curriculum and age-appropriate teaching strategies that promote student engagement and academic achievement.
  4. The ability to plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, fostering a love for learning and encouraging individual growth.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
