Job Overview

World Makers is seeking a highly skilled Art Pipeline Developer to join our team. As a key member of the art team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pipelines, materials, visual effects, and optimisations that support the creation of high-quality game worlds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing visually stunning visual effects and procedural art workflows that meet design expectations and are optimised for performance and quality.
  • Developing and maintaining tools and scripts to streamline the creation and implementation of art assets, animations, and visual effects.
  • Collaborating with the art, design, and engineering teams to ensure that all elements of the game are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in art and technology, and identifying opportunities for improving the visual quality and performance of our games.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as an Art Pipeline Developer in the video game industry.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard game art tools (Houdini, Substance, Blender, Maya).
  • Strong understanding of Unreal Engine and the art creation process, including modelling, texturing, lighting, and particle effects.
  • Proficiency programming in C++ and common shader programming languages.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently on assigned tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.Compensation
    • A competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
