As a Night Porter, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills, and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality. Our inspiring leadership will guide you through every step of your journey, and you will be encouraged to grow and progress within the company.

The successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), including five shifts out of seven, including weekends. These shifts will run from 11pm-7am, ensuring that our guests receive the highest level of service during their stay.

We offer a competitive salary of £21,294.00 per annum, making this a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start or continue their career in the hospitality industry.

Our ideal candidate will be motivated, willing to work hard as part of a team, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service. Previous experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. What's more, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working nights, which is a great skill to have in any industry.

To be responsible for the security of our guests and the premises of the hotel, ensuring that all guests' needs are met for their greatest enjoyment and maximum profit contribution to the hotel. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving and assisting guests throughout the night
  • Providing the highest standards of service to guests, ensuring all guests' needs and expectations are met
  • Being knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and the amenities and attractions in the locality
  • Ensuring awareness of all hotel services and being proactive in the sale of these to guests
  • Handling, storing, and delivering guest luggage to the appropriate destination
  • Providing a guest car parking valet service
  • Maintaining customer areas in a clean and tidy manner, in accordance with departmental standards
  • Receiving cash payments for food and beverages sold and recording food, drinks, and goods sold to guests in residence, in accordance with operating procedures
  • Ensuring all equipment and materials are used correctly and reporting any problems immediately
  • Working effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity
  • Maintaining the security of stock areas at all times and reporting any breaches
  • Complying with all health, safety, hygiene, and licensing policies and procedures
  • Dealing with guest concerns, complaints, and difficulties courteously and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty
  • Ensuring all guest enquires are handled efficiently and effectively

We require the following skills and qualifications:

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including English and Maths
  • Previous experience of working nights
  • Driving license with no penalty points
  • A right to work within the United Kingdom
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be a team player
  • Good attention to detail
  • Smart, well-groomed appearance
  • Customer care experience
