About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Nazareth Care Charitable Trust. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and participate in the delivery of care to residents, ensuring a safe and effective care service.
- Support and work closely with families and friends, providing professional and emotional support.
- Administer prescribed medication to residents, following our home's policy and procedure.
- Lead, motivate, and support care staff, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Be responsible for the preparation, implementation, review, and update of residents' care plans, in line with their personal wishes and preferences.
- Establish effective liaison with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs, District Nurses, Physiotherapy, and Hospitals.
About You
We are looking for someone who is caring, friendly, empathetic, and has a good understanding of the needs of our residents. You will be responsible for leading the care team, ensuring a safe, effective, and efficient care service is maintained. You will also ensure clear and accurate records and communication systems are maintained and effectively used.
Requirements:
- NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults) or willingness to undertake the qualification.
- Experience at a similar level or willingness to learn and develop.
