Vice President of Finance

The Vice President of Finance is a key member of the management team at New Kensington Community Development Corporation, responsible for managing accounting and financial systems, as well as related business and operational affairs. The successful candidate will serve as a financial advisor to the Executive Director, prepare monthly financial reports, and supervise the Accounting Specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, forecasts, and budgets to ensure the organization's financial health and sustainability.
- Accounting and Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Financial Operations: Manage the organization's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and benefits administration.
- Grant and Contract Management: Assist with the preparation and submission of grant and contract applications, as well as the management of related financial reporting and compliance.
- Financial Systems and Processes: Develop and implement effective financial systems and processes to ensure the organization's financial data is accurate, reliable, and easily accessible.
- Advanced degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial management, with a proven track record of success in a non-profit or similar environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, board members, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, as well as experience with financial software and systems.
