We are seeking a highly skilled Production Team Leader to join our team at GMP Recruitment Ltd. This is a full-time permanent contract opportunity.


This position offers a competitive salary, pending relevant experience, and a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday.


The successful candidate will have a background in manufacturing or production, with experience in a senior position and a proven track record of working effectively in a small team.


The Production Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring smooth production operations, meeting targets, and performing key functions in the absence of the Production Manager.


Main Responsibilities:


• Oversee administration tasks, including planning shift work


• Supervise and lead the shift team, with direct reports to the Team Leader and the Production Manager


• Take ownership of the shift and address any issues that arise


• Ensure production targets are met on their shift


• Monitor team performance and report on key metrics


• Oversee inventory stock


• Spend 60% of their time on direct hours (productive work) and 40% on management and administration


• Report to the Production Manager on production performance against plan


Required Skills and Experience:


• Previous experience as a Team Leader in a manufacturing environment


• Ability to work on their feet for most of the shift


• Proficiency in computer software
