About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our team at Trainline. As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will play a key role in providing tax compliance and advisory services to our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tax compliance services, including VAT returns, corporation tax, and employment taxes.
  • Assist with the implementation of automation to adopt efficient process improvements and compliance obligations around Making Tax Digital.
  • Manage the outsourced corporate tax compliance activities for non-UK jurisdictions.
  • Assist with forecasting, particularly in relation to the group effective tax rate and tax payments.
  • Handle the tax governance platform to ensure that all group tax deadlines are identified, appropriate timelines for workflows are included, and tasks are assigned to the correct person.

Requirements

  • Experienced in tax (2-3 years), either in industry or practice, with a strong foundation in VAT.
  • Keen to expand their knowledge and skills across all tax heads.
  • Ideally qualified or part-qualified accounting/tax professional (ACA, ACCA, CTA etc.) and have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Microsoft suite proficient with very good/excellent analytical skills.
  • A strong communicator and have interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
