Hostel Support Worker

Job Description
East Ayrshire Council is seeking a Hostel Support Worker to assist service users with integration into the hostel environment and the wider community. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking the full range of Hostel Support Worker duties to promote, deliver, and integrate the Council's key objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake the full range of Hostel Support Worker duties to assist service users with integration into the hostel environment and the wider community.
- Assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate.
Working Arrangements
This is a bank/casual post based at St Andrews Hostel, Kilmarnock. The hourly rate for this post is £13.59 per hour.
