About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Potens. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services, working closely with the Registered Manager to deliver high-quality care and support to our service users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Registered Manager to maintain a high level of support and care for our service users.
- Support the staff team to deliver person-centered care and promote the independence of our service users.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of support workers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent care.
- Be part of an on-call system with the Registered Manager to ensure 24/7 support for our service users.
- Attend all training sessions arranged by the Registered Manager to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
- Support the Registered Manager with the recruitment process to ensure we attract and retain the best talent.
- Cover gaps within the rota, including early shifts, middle shifts, late shifts, and sleep-in shifts, to ensure our services are always fully staffed.
Requirements:
- A minimum of NVQ level 3 and a willingness to complete Level 5.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, service users, and their families.
- A positive outlook, recognizing and respecting differences, and encouraging growth and development.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, sharing best practices, and embracing new ideas and approaches.
- A people-centered approach, treating individuals with dignity and respect, and empowering them to live their best lives.
- A professional and compassionate approach, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- A valid driver's license, as a driver is essential for this role due to service requirements and the needs of our service users.
