About the Opportunity

Rapid7 is seeking a skilled Marketing Copywriter to join our Content Team. As a key member of our Creative Team, you will partner with teams across the business to deliver high-quality copy for various formats, including webpages, downloadable content, and more.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for crafting compelling marketing copy that promotes thought leadership across topics like detection and response technology, managed security services, exposure management, and more. You will work on projects both big and small, conceptual to straightforward, and collaborate with other copywriters to create engaging website pages that communicate brand messaging and drive product conversations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write insightful, succinct marketing copy for various vehicles, including short and long-form blogs, eBooks, landing pages, product and features pages, compliance briefs, and more.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to transform highly technical content into digestible stories that reach the wider cybersecurity community.
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing on short and long-term SEO initiatives across various website domains.
  • Work with designers to bring your writing to life and ensure consistency across templates.
  • Ensure all content is consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content, including online, social media, email, and video.
  • Test copy on creative executions and learn what resonates with the target audience for future applications.
  • Work within existing brand guidelines while knowing when to flex them to meet objectives or create new ones where none exist.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of writing experience, preferably in the B2B technology/SaaS space.
  • A portfolio of high-quality, long and short-form content.
  • Ability to adapt writing style to varying target audiences and content formats.
  • Strong SEO research skills.
  • Self-starter and independent, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple disparate workstreams.
  • Ability to think strategically about complex problems and provide insightful recommendations, action plans, and outcomes.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • University degree or equivalent practical experience.
