The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in driving sales performance and day-to-day operations of the store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
    • Offer a VIP concierge service to customers, actively contacting them with updates on products and tastings.
  • Sales and Performance
    • Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities.
    • Optimise KPI performance in store by identifying focus KPIs and building plans to improve them and exceed targets.
  • Team Management
    • Support the recruitment, management, and development of the team.
    • Be a sounding board and source of support for more junior team members, feeding back to the Store Manager as appropriate.
  • Store Operations
    • Take accountability and pride for the physical appearance and maintenance of the store, both internally and externally.
    • Ensure swift reporting and escalation of any issues until resolved.
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Experience of working as part of a team in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
    • Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
    • Experience of understanding retail KPIs and how to drive improvements.
    • Ability to prioritise and strategically problem-solve in high-pressure environments.
    • Self-motivated, able to thrive when working alone and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and time management skills.
    • WSET 2 Qualification is essential. Willingness to work towards WSET 3 Qualification in order to progress to Store Manager.
