We are seeking an Empathetic Rehabilitation Support Specialist to join our team at Brainkind, a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK.
Job SummaryThis is a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of individuals with acquired brain injury, physical disabilities, and/or sensory impairment. As an Empathetic Rehabilitation Support Specialist, you will be working in a purpose-built supported living service for 13 self-contained flats.
Key Responsibilities- Support residents with daily tasks such as personal care, environmental management, medication support, health appointments, meal preparation, and cooking.
- Encourage community integration and promote independence in all aspects of life.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a high-quality service and achieve exceptional results.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Genuine empathy and understanding for individuals with brain injuries and their needs.
- Excellent face-to-face communication skills and a good standard of literacy.
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize your workload effectively.
We offer a competitive rate of up to £13.00 per hour, 33 days annual leave (pro rata), excellent training and support, and a range of benefits including group life assurance, company pension, and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
