Your Next Challenge

Holmen, a Swedish company and member of the Holmen Group, is seeking a Forestry Contracts Manager to join their Supply Chain team at the Workington Mill. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating work within the Forest areas, providing operational and logistical support to area managers, and monitoring and developing harvesting and haulage systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate work within the Forest areas
  • Provide operational and logistical support to area managers
  • Monitor and develop harvesting and haulage systems
  • Work with Forest Area Managers to support harvesting and haulage operations
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor quality and compliance
  • Ensure operations comply with national legislation relating to environmental and health & safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Relevant Forestry or land-based qualification
  • Experience of managing harvesting operations, organizing transport and trading within the forestry supply chain
  • Appropriate training in both the working environment and Health & Safety
  • Good knowledge of the forest industry and related organizations
  • Good knowledge of Environment and Certification within Forestry
  • Knowledge of IT systems (Microsoft office suite)
