About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Support Professional to join our team at Supply Staff Limited. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping young people regain trust in others and believe in themselves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with vulnerable young people and your team.
  • Utilize office skills, including writing reports and updating computer records, to effectively support our clients.
  • Provide a high level of support to young people who exhibit challenging behavior, requiring a strong sense of reliability and trustworthiness.
  • Possess an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards this qualification.
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Ensure your CV accurately accounts for all periods since finishing senior school, with explanations for any gaps in employment over 1 month.
  • Obtain an overseas police check if you have lived or worked overseas for 6 months or more at any time in the last 10 years while aged 18 or older.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year's UK experience working with Looked After Children of secondary school age.
