About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our team at a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Brent. As a specialist SEN teaching assistant, you will work closely with students who present challenging behaviours and may have complex emotional and social needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and contribute to a supportive and inclusive school environment. You will work collaboratively with class teachers, SEN specialists, and other support staff to develop tailored strategies for each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for students with challenging behaviours, ensuring they remain engaged and focused during lessons.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to encourage positive behaviours and emotional regulation.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and the SENCO to create individual learning plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Encourage social and emotional development, helping students build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Support students both inside and outside the classroom, including during playtime and school trips.
