Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hygiene Technician to join our team at Veetee. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across all areas of our factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with our facilities team to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Identify and report any potential hygiene risks or issues to your supervisor.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and chemicals are properly stored and labeled.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to hygiene, food safety, and quality control.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitizing of all areas of the factory, including equipment and machinery.
  • Work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to cleaning and hygiene activities.
  • Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects, up to 25kg.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and machinery during deep cleaning tasks and scheduled shutdown periods.
  • Clean and tidy external areas of the factory and office buildings.
  • Handle chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH regulations.
  • Comply with established cleaning schedules and instruction cards.
  • Undertake all aspects of hygiene in non-operational areas, including toilets, canteen, warehouse, and yard.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work quickly, methodically, and under pressure.
  • Comfortable working in a hot environment, confined spaces, on heights, and with pest control.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and willing to work flexibly.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
