About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at The Beeches, a Community Resource Centre for adults with learning disabilities in the Stroud District.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing sensitive and flexible support to individuals with personal care needs, helping them to regain their confidence and independence.

You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, promoting social inclusion, and supporting individuals to access local community resources.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification and have hands-on experience working with people with learning disabilities.

You will be committed to enhancing the lives of people with a range of abilities and be confident in providing support in a sensitive and flexible way, listening as well as communicating.

Essential Criteria:

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification
  • Hands-on experience working with people with learning disabilities
  • Ability to provide sensitive and flexible support
  • Confidence in communicating and listening

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Adult Social Care services and policies
