We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatrician to join our team as a Community Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Families and Integrated Community Care Division, contributing to the delivery of high-quality regional level key performance indicators for families on the Neurodevelopmental Pathway.
Main Responsibilities- Provide community-based paediatric care to children and families in the Blackpool area.
- Attend clinics at the Child Development Centre, Bleinheim House, and contribute to the pre-school age service.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support for children and families.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote best practice in paediatric care.

Person Specification- Full registration with the GMC.
- MB ChB or equivalent qualification.
- MRCPCH or equivalent qualification.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion within 6 months of interview date.
- Higher degree (MD/PhD).
- Experience in other areas relevant to Community Child Health, such as paediatric neurodisability, child mental health, and public health.
- Experience of working with looked-after children and children being considered for adoption.
- Experience of working as a medical advisor for adoption panels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
- Leadership skills and ability to take responsibility.
- Computer and IT skills.
- Awareness of NHS organisation and core values.
- Understanding of the management responsibilities of NHS consultants.
- Commitment to CPD and requirements of clinical governance and audit.
- A proven track record in self-directed research.
