The Practice

Our IP Disputes team is renowned for handling high-profile, high-value IP litigation with an international element. We are currently involved in patent matters related to various technologies, including small-molecule pharmaceuticals, therapeutic antibodies, telecommunications systems, electronics, and industrial chemicals.

We represent leading brands in the life sciences, digital business, retail & consumer, transport & automotive, and energy sectors. Our sector-focused approach ensures we have valuable expertise in the areas our clients operate and a deep understanding of the issues they face.

The Team

Our IP Disputes team is led by Arty Rajendra, and this role will work closely with Will James, Tim Harris, Trevor Crosse, and Arty on patent matters. The London IP Disputes team consists of 6 Partners, 2 Associate Directors, 3 Senior Associates, 7 Associates, 2 Trainee Solicitors, 4 Paralegals, and 1 Formalities Assistant. We also collaborate closely with colleagues in the Bristol IP team.

Technical Skills and Experience

You will have gained broad knowledge and experience of patent disputes at a firm with a well-regarded patents practice. Experience of disputes in the life sciences sector is essential, and previous qualifications in biochemistry, biology, or similar areas are also essential. Due to the highly technical nature of the work and the structure of the team, we are looking to hire a Senior Associate or Associate Director.
